My Journey to the Pro stage....after the fourth baby

The greatest tragedy of man is never realizing or reaching his full potential~"Dont TALK about it,BE about it!"

WELCOME to my blogspot! I am utilizing this space as a journal of sorts, where my workouts as well as random thoughts are posted....

Now that I have a few good Pro shows under my belt,I am in "off season" until 2013,due to the VERY unexpected news of my 4th child!! In the meantime, I will be keeping a journal of how a pro athlete reclaims her pre-baby body and juggles fitness and family. I am planning a Pro show just a few months after the baby arrives, as well as gearing up to hit new PR's for 5k's,half and full marathons! My ultimate goal is to simply get better with age....(and hopefully snag an IFBB pro card and break 19 min in a 5k in the process)so come follow me on my crazy journey to the Pro-Stage and Beyond... after a fourth child!!Feel free to leave any comments or advice!

cat nap workout

first of all, i want to say a huge THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all of your kind words on my last post. thank you so much to all the thoughts, prayers and well wishes sent our way! they are working!

lil M is recuperating at home now,she is doing better, but still needs time to be back to her self again. a few more days of TLC (and more antibiotics, blehhhhhh!) and she will be right as rain!
since the boys have been gone, big sister A has been a HUGE help to mommy and lil sis! and even though things are awful lonely and quiet in this house without the boys,we are making the best of it!

today was the first time since she has been home from the hospital that M took a nap in her own bed,and me and A took advantage an did a quick home workout:
what we got in:
giant set of
3x20 DB press on ex ball
3x15 lying french press
3x15 pike on ex ball

giant set of:
3x20 DB fly
3x15 kickbacks
3x15 roll outs on ex ball

giant set of:
3x15 pushups off ex ball, hands on DB
3x15 dips off couch, toes on ex ball
3x25 weighted crunch ups

and as soon as we were done with weights(well, modified versions for A)
lil M woke up from her cat nap.

i am just hoping that once the girls go bed,or if M takes another nap,i can get in some much much needed miles on the TM...more for the mind than than anything!

10 weeks and 4 days out from show,8 weeks 3 days out from triathlon. to say i need to get my rear in the pool and on the bike is an understatement!!!!!
oh man, that gym wont know WHAT hit it once im there again!!!
i cant wait!!!!
just gotta keep the kids healthy!

i may be doing the gym at 4am just to keep my babies out of that germ filled child watch....
**stepping on complaint box**

I'm usually not one to voice my opinions very loudly, but my girls have been sick since November. i have spoken with a few other moms, and they aren't happy with the cleanliness of the place either. their kids have also been sick more than usual, and they feel the same way-i have also learned there is some very unsanitary "cleaning" going on...ie using the same rag all day to wipe down high chairs, baby toys,etc....
AND not taking time (the whole 3 seconds) it takes to make sure a kid gets a squirt of hand sanitizer before eating a snack....
i know the gym child watch is busy, and i know its not a day care facility, but geez, can they have some common sense? whats the point of paying so much money for a big gym with child watch,if i cant even use the gym because my kids are sick so much????
should i complain to someone about this??
am i overreacting???

*stepping off box*

anyways, sorry for the vent, but i am just ready to get things back in a routine again.....
i also cant wait for the boys to be home this weekend! we miss them so much!
in the meantime,i will be doing what i can at home, and of course giving my girls tons and tons of TLC!
again, thank you everyone, for the thoughts and prayers,it really does mean so much to me and my family!!!

You have such a positive outlook that is why you rock everything so much! :)

  2. You are a better woman than I! The second I heard about the way they were cleaning (or should I say NOT cleaning) the children's area, I would have put my big o' size 10 in someone's ass!!!! You definitely need to say something not only for your kids but all of the other kids!

  3. complain. there have to be some sort of health standards, even for just a gym child care! i'm really nervous to start going to the gym and leaving my 2 month old at kid care...clearly i have good reason to be scared! hope your little one is better soon!

  6. I am sorry that your gym has bad habits, but it is also the parents who are bringing sick kids into the gym that is part of the problem. Kids do spread germs and if they aren't sick than it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Fortunately my gym is still new (2 years old) and so my girls have gone there since the beginning and there are good steady people who work there that are parents who know the deal.

You are not overreacting!! They should know how unclean it is! They aren't paying your doctor bills!
