My Journey to the Pro stage....after the fourth baby

The greatest tragedy of man is never realizing or reaching his full potential~"Dont TALK about it,BE about it!"

WELCOME to my blogspot! I am utilizing this space as a journal of sorts, where my workouts as well as random thoughts are posted....

Now that I have a few good Pro shows under my belt,I am in "off season" until 2013,due to the VERY unexpected news of my 4th child!! In the meantime, I will be keeping a journal of how a pro athlete reclaims her pre-baby body and juggles fitness and family. I am planning a Pro show just a few months after the baby arrives, as well as gearing up to hit new PR's for 5k's,half and full marathons! My ultimate goal is to simply get better with age....(and hopefully snag an IFBB pro card and break 19 min in a 5k in the process)so come follow me on my crazy journey to the Pro-Stage and Beyond... after a fourth child!!Feel free to leave any comments or advice!

5 more minutes please!

twas nap time in the Cunningham house
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse (ok so maybe the dog needed to go outside)

so....both my girls went down for a nap. it was free time for mommy. what should i do?
sweep and mop the kitchen floor?
sort laundry
do laundry
fold laundry
vacuum living room
wrap presents
clean bathrooms?
take a nap of my own?
catch up on blogs?
clean out the kids toy boxes and donate to goodwill to make room for xmas toys on the way?
go through M's clothes and put away the ones shes outgrown?
oh,the possibilities are endless.....
nap time for both girls is rare,so i needed to take advantage of my time...so much to do and so little time-
so what did i do????

i ran on the TM.
i was trying to be like EMZ!
20 minutes into it,lil M woke up (she fell asleep in her swing in the living room, where i was running)
great,i at least wanted 30 minutes, but would settle for 25..
5 more minutes,mckinnley-pooh!
30minutes in,she was still watching me run, content as she could be...
5 more minutes baby girl!
40 minutes into the run,her binky was spit out but she wasn't fussy...
5 more minutes sweet girl!
55 minutes, she was talking away, jibbering at me and even laughing!
ok,baby girl, let me reach 7 miles and then we will play!
one hour and 3 minutes,i had 7.1 miles under my belt and then it was play time with M.

after play time she was in the front pack, dishwasher loaded, kitchen counters cleaned, laundry sorted,2 loads of laundry done, living room clean,(but not vacuumed).....
talk about feeling productive!

now its on to take a shower and go to my sons xmas party at school (briefly-alex is feeling better but still not 100%)

i feel so much better after that run! i needed that! have been feeling slightly discouraged with my progress lately due to all the gym time I've been missing,so running was a good way to vent off stress!!!

anyways
off to being supermom....
happy Tuesday!

  2. M knew she needed to let mama have her "play time" too!
I love the list of what a mama could be doing. It is endless and never ending, but so worth it!
